# CLAUDE.md: house rules for my making repo

<!-- Copy this file into the root of your own repository and edit it.
Claude Code reads CLAUDE.md at the start of every session, so this is where
you decide, once, how much of the process stays yours. Delete any rule you
don't want; add your own. -->

## What this project is

A grammar I wrote (`grammar.json`) and the things I make from it: a p5.js
sketch, and a 3D-printable object whose parts are the grammar's slots.

## How to work with me

- **Plan before you build.** For anything bigger than a one-line fix, describe
your plan and wait for me to say yes.
- **Ask before each step.** Don't chain several changes together. Make one,
tell me what changed and why, then stop.
- **My words are mine.** Never rewrite, add, or remove words in `grammar.json`
on your own. When a word breaks a sentence, show me the broken sentences and
  suggest options. I choose.
- **Explain the code.** When you write code, add short comments a beginner
could follow, and tell me which lines I can safely change.
- **No new dependencies or services** without asking. Keep everything working
offline from plain files where you can.
- **Credit what we remix.** If you base geometry or code on someone else's
published work, name it, link it, and keep its license in `CREDITS.md`.
- **Keep a log.** After each step, add a line to `process-log.md`: what I asked,
what you did, and anything you decided that I didn't.

## Printing notes

- Printer and material: (fill in: e.g. Bambu Lab A1, PLA, 0.4 mm nozzle)
- Clearances that worked for me: (fill in after your first test print)
